Srđan Filip ČALDAROVIĆ (Zagreb, 1973.) muzičko obrazovanje počeo je na Glazbenoj školi Pavla Markovca kod Jelice Kuzmin. Klavir je diplomirao na Muzičkoj akademiji u Zagrebu u klasi Vladimira Krpana (1995.), te se usavršavao na Indiana University School of Music u Bloomingtonu u klasi Leonarda Hokansona i na Trinity College of Music u Londonu u klasi Philipa Fowkea, da bi magisterij stekao na University of Miami, Florida, u klasi J. Roberta Floyda (2002.). Pohađao je majstorske kurseve uglednih pijanističkih pedagoga kao što su Evgenij Timakin, Jerome Rose, Walter Groppenberger i Sequeira Costa. Od 1990. redovno koncertira samostalno, kao kamerni muzičar, te kao solista uz orkestre, nastupajući širom Hrvatske i u inostranstvu (Italija, Njemačka, Švicarska, Mađarska, Kanada, SAD…). Gostuje i na festivalima (Carl Orff, Muzički biennale Zagreb, Zagrebačke ljetne večeri, Westfalen Classics), te stiče laskave kritike i nagrade: nakon debija u Washingtonu, tamošnja kritika hvalila je njegov „Introspektivni pristup i profinjen osjećaj za fraziranje“ (Washington Post). Interpretacijom Brahmsova Prvog klavirskog koncerta u d-molu zaslužio je nagradu Sveučilišnih nastavnika, a dobitnik je i Nagrade Milka Trnina Hrvatskog društva glazbenih umjetnika za 2013. godinu. Njegovi solistički i kamerni nastupi odlikuju se svestranim pristupom programima na koje ravnopravno uvrštava djela velikana pijanističkog repertoara – Bacha, Beethovena, Chopina, Liszta, Brahmsa, Schumanna – i hrvatskih kompozitora poput Šuleka, Papandopula, Kempfa, Paraća i drugih. Redovno snima za Hrvatski radio i televiziju; Snimio je i dva nosača zvuka sa djelima Liszta, Rahmanjinova, hrvatskih i latinoameričkih kompozitora. Od 2005. radi kao docent, a od 2013. kao vanredni profesor klavira na Muzičkoj akademiji u Zagrebu.

Srdjan F. CALDAROVIC, (1973), Zagreb, Croatia, started to play piano at the age of five. During his music education in primary and secondary music schools in Zagreb, he had appeared in many public performances. Graduated from the University of Zagreb music academy with Vladimir Krpan as his mentor (1995). He obtained performer’s diploma certificate from Indiana University in Bloomington, where he studied piano with Leonard Hokanson (1996). Later he finished Master’s degree in piano performance at the University of Miami with J. B. Floyd (2002). He has also actively participated in masterclasses held by world renowned piano professors and pianist such as Jerome Rose, Evgenij Timakin, Sequeira Costa and others. He had played as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Zagreb Soloists ensemble, Zagreb Symphony Orchestra, Budafok-Dohnany Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra dell’ Amministrazione di Bari. From 1990 onwards he gives solo and chamber music recitals on a regular basis in Croatia, Germany, Italy, USA, Canada and Asia.  For several of his performances, Caldarovic has won outstanding awards (Brahms: Piano Concerto No. 1, Liszt: Sonata in B minor). Critics praised his consummate artistry in coupling and introspective approach with refined sensitivity for phrasing. From 2013. on he holds a position of an Associate professor of piano at the University of Zagreb Music academy. He records regularly for Croatian radio and television and he has published two CD’s with the works of Liszt, Rachmaninov, selection of Croatian composers and Lecuona. For his series of concerts in 2013. he has been awarded the prestigious “Milka Trnina” award.
