Maja Žuža rođena je 1984. godine u Sarajevu. Nižu i srednju muzičku školu završila je u Istočnom Sarajevu. Već u tom periodu aktivno je koncertirala i osvajala specijalne i prve nagrade na takmičenjima. Muzičku akademiju Univerziteta u Istočnom Sarajevu, na odsjeku za klavir, završila je 2008. godine u klasi mr Zorice Dimitrijević-Stošić, sa prosječnom ocjenom 10.00. Tokom studija bila je stipendista Vlade Republike Srpske. Dobitnica je:
- Nagrade „Vojin Komadina“ Muzičke akademije UIS
- Plakete Univerziteta
- Srebrenjaka Sv. Stefana, kao najbolјi student Univerziteta Istočno Sarajevo (uručene od strane predsjednika RS, dr Milana Jelića)
Magistarski studij na odsjeku za klavir završila je 2012. godine, u klasi mr Irine Skerl. Pohađala je majstorske kurseve kod mr Jurija Kota (Ukrajina), mr Hinko Haasa (Slovenija), mr Jokut Mihailović (Srbija), mr Aleksandre Romanić (Nјemačka), Miroslave Lili Petrović (Srbija), Mihala Rezeka (Češka) i Aleksandra Serdara (Srbija).
Po završetku prvog ciklusa studija zaposlila se na Muzičkoj akademiji Univerziteta u Istočnom Sarajevu, u zvanju umjetničkog saradnika, a zatim višeg umjetničkog saradnika. Od 2015. godine je bila u zvanju docenta na Katedri za klavir Muzičke akademije Univerziteta u Istočnom Sarajevu, a 2020. godine izabrana je u zvanje vanrednog profesora. Sve vrijeme aktivno koncertira kao solista na klaviru i član klavirskog dua M&M (sa mr Majom Đogo). Sarađivala je sa velikim brojem kolega i studenata, ostvarivši zavidan broj od preko 300 koncerata i nastupa u zemlјi i inostranstvu.
- Član je Udruženja građana za njegovanje akademske muzike „Novi zvuk“
- Jedan je od idejnih tvoraca i pokretača Međunarodnog takmičenja pijanista na Muzičkoj akademiji UIS
- Potpredsjednik je i član osnivačkog odbora Udruženja građana za njegovanje klasične muzike „Koral“
- Član je Srpskog prosvjetno kulturnog društva „Prosvjeta“
Od akademske 2017/2018 obavlјala je funkciju Rukovodioca Katedre za klavir i Koordinatora za međunarodnu saradnju Muzičke akademije Univerziteta u Istočnom Sarajevu. Od 2018. do 2020. godine obavljala je funkciju prodekana za nastavu na Muzičkoj akademiji. Od oktobra 2020. godine imenovana je za dekana Muzičke akademije Univerziteta u Istočnom Sarajevu.

Maja Žuža was born in 1984. in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina. She finished elementary and secondary music school in East Sarajevo. During that period, she already actively gave concerts and won special and first prizes at numerous competitions. She graduated at the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo, Department of Piano, in 2008. in the class of Zorica Dimitrijević-Stošić, MA, with an average grade of 10.00. During her studies, she was a scholarship holder of the Government of the Republic of Srpska and also she was granted with:
- Award „Vojin Komadina“ of the Music Academy UIS
- University Plaque for the best student of University of East Sarajevo
- Silver Medal of St. Stefan, as the best student of University of East Sarajevo (presented by the President of RS, Dr. Milan Jelic)
She completed her master’s degree at the Department of Piano in 2012. in the class of Irina Skerl, MA. She attended master classes with Jurij Kot (Ukraine), Hinko Haas (Slovenia), Jokut Mihailović (Serbia), Aleksandra Romanić (Germany), Miroslava Lili Petrović (Serbia), Mihal Rezek (Czech Republic) and Aleksandar Serdar (Serbia).
After finishing her graduate studies, she started working at the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo, first as an artistic associate, later as a senior artistic associate. Since 2015., she has been an assistant professor at the Piano Department of the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo, and in 2020. she was elected as an associate professor. During previous years so far she actively performed as a piano soloist and a member of the piano duo M&M (with Maja Đogo, MA). She collaborated with a large number of colleagues and students, achieving an enviable number of over 300 concerts and performances in the country and abroad.
- She is a member of the Association of Citizens for Nurturing Academic Music „New Sound“
- She is one of the idea creators and initiators of the International Piano Competition at the UIS Music Academy
- Vice President and member of the founding board of the Association of Citizens for Nurturing classical music „Coral“
- She is a member of the Serbian Educational and Cultural Society „Prosvjeta“
Since the academic year 2017/2018, she has been the Head of the Piano Department and the Coordinator for International Cooperation of the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo. From 2018. to 2020. she acted as vice dean for teaching at the Music Academy. From October 2020. she was elected as dean of the Music Academy of the University of East Sarajevo, on a term of four years.
