Darko Ružičić је rođen 01.08.1979. u Banjaluci. Osnovnu muzičku školu „Vlado Milošević“ u Banjaluci završio je u klasi Ivanke Bilandžija 1994, a iste godine je upisao i Srednju muzičku školu „Vlado Milošević“ u Banjaluci u klasi profesorice Nade Vještice. Diplomirao je na Višoj muzičkoj školi u Nišu, 2000. godine u klasi prof. Jelene Grebović, a visoko obrazovanje je stekao u Istočnom Sarajevu 2004. godine u klasi prof. Danijele Gazdić-Kljajić.
U toku školovanja učestvovao je na nekoliko takmičenja:
-1994. na prvom takmičenju Republike Srpske – II nagrada
-1995. na drugom takmičenju Republike Srpske – I nagrada
-2001. na VI Internacionalnoj manifestaciji „Dani harmonike“ u Smederevu – III nagrada
-2004. na XI Internacionalnoj manifestaciji „Dani harmonike“ u Smederevu – II nagrada za kompoziciju
Kao profesor harmonike počinje sa radom neposredno poslije zavrsetka fakulteta 2002/03. školske godine u matičnoj muzičkoj školi „Vlado Milošević“ u Banjoj Luci. U toku pedagoškog rada ostvaruje brojne nagrade sa učenicima na domaćim i međunarodnim takmičenjima. Nastavu harmonike je izvodio u Osnovnoj muzičkoj školi u Derventi i u Muzičkoj školi „Stevan Mokranjac“ u Kraljevu. Bio je nekoliko puta član žirija na domaćim i međunarodnim takmičenjima. Nastupao je kao solista i kao član nekoliko kamernih ansambala: Libertango, Jazavac orkestar band, a od 2012. postaje aktivni član tango/jazz sastava Bandoneon Square, s kojim ostvaruje zapažene nastupe na domaćim i međunarodnim festivalima. Član je legendarne sarajevske rok grupe „Bolero“. Trenutno radi u Muzičkoj školi „Vlado Milošević“ u Banjoj Luci kao profesor harmonike i dirigent orkestra harmonika.

As a professor of accordion, he started working shortly after his graduation from the Faculty in 2002/03. school year at the parent music school „Vlado Milosevic“ in Banja Luka. During his teaching work, he has won numerous awards with students at national and international competitions. Darko taught harmonica at the Primary Music School in Derventa and at the Music School „Stevan Mokranjac“ in Kraljevo. Darko has served on the jury several times in national and international competitions. He has performed as a soloist and as a member of several chamber ensembles: Libertango, Badger Orchestra Band, and since 2012 he has become an active member of the Bandoneon Square tango / jazz band, with which he has made notable appearances at local and international festivals. He is a member of a legendary rock group “Bolero” from Sarajevo. Currently he works at the Vlado Milosević Music School in Banja Luka as a professor of accordion and conductor of the accordion orchestra.
