MgA Diana Medėkšaitė – Balčiūnienė
She studied at the Conservatoire of Kaunas and then continued her studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in the field of playing the accordion (Mgr.) with professor Eduardas Gabnys. D. Medėkšaitė – Balčiūnienė as chamber musician has been the laureate of many international accordion competitions (Castelfidardo, Val Tidone and etc.) She attended many accordion seminars, workshops and courses in Lithuania and Europe. Nowadays, D. Medėkšaitė – Balčiūnienė teaches at the Music School named by Mikas Petrauskas in Kaunas and the gymnasium “Vyturys” in Kaunas. Her students are the winners of many international accordion competitions. She is the coordinator of accordion group of international competition of young musicians “Kaunas Sonorum”. D. Medėkšaitė – Balčiūnienė has been awarded by President of the Republic of Lithuanian and Mayor of Kaunas City.
